On Saturday afternoon, December 3, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Vander community (near Fayetteville, NC) hosted two groups to minister in music. Carolina Tradition and Calvary's Hill Quartet were on hand to sing for this service.
Although totally different in musical styles, the both groups did a great job. Carolina Tradition specializes in the “old time” gospel sound with several instruments and only one microphone. They did a lot of “classic” gospel songs and did them well. Calvary's Hill brought an entire program of Christmas music. They included some traditional Christmas songs plus some newer numbers. Both groups made this an enjoyable afternoon of music.
Some of the songs from this service can be found on the Gospel Notes video page.
