It had been a while since Gospel Notes was with Safe Haven. During that time, the group had a personnel change. Long-time bass singer Mike Spence stepped away from the group to devote more time to activities at his church. The current bass for Safe Haven is Joe Bailey, Jr.

Gospel Notes recently crossed paths with the group, but it was not a typical situation. The event was not a gospel sing. It was a social function where the group had been invited to sing.

Safe Haven did a commendable job performing under difficult conditions. There was constant talking, laughing, yelling, and other distractions throughout the entire time that they sang. Safe Haven did an impressive job in spite of the situation. Great job, gentlemen!
