Featuring Southern Gospel Music in Eastern North Carolina

Gospel music fans in eastern North Carolina will face a tough decision on Saturday, October 1. In addition to dozens of other sings in the area, there will be four “major” events happening at the same time.

The Music Ministry Group will host an event at the Taste of Heaven campground near Newton Grove. Included on this program are Black Creek, Bill & Linda Lewis, Winnie Hill, Richard Duryea, Whitman Gore, Safe Haven, Shepherd's Voice, The Dunns, The Master's Hands, Palmetto Street Praise, The Gregorys, and The Crusaders. It will take place in the banquet room of the campground and will begin at 6:00 pm.

Lighthouse Music Ministry will have a 29th anniversary sing at Massey Hill Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Gospel music will be provided by Carolina Tradition, The Revelators, Larry Chason, and Lucy Hemingway. This event will begin at 6:00 pm.

The Horrell Family will host their anniversary sing at the Wallace Church Of God in Teachey, NC. Joining the Horrell Family will be the Griffins and Jeri & Larry Mercer Ministries. Starting time for this program will be 6:30 pm.

Ed O'Neal University will be holding a “Class of 1995” reunion on this same evening. It will occur at the Perrytown Assembly Of God in Colerain, NC (pastored by McCray Dove). In addition to the reunited 1995 version of the Dixie Melody Boys, featured groups will include the current Dixie Melody Boys, the Needhams, the Eric Ollis Family, and the Larry DeLawder Family. This program will begin at 6:00 pm.

Where to go? What to do? Whether you attend one of these four events or one of the other dozens of singings in the area will be YOUR difficult choice. Just be sure to go somewhere and support the groups during this incredible evening of gospel music.
